POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Clerk

PERMANENT ASSIGNMENT: Office Services

LOCATION: Chicago Office

SALARY RANGE: $28,380 - $49,164 annually

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains and distributes office supplies; answers telephones and completes duplication requests. Receives in-coming correspondence; opens, time or date stamps, sorts, files, distributes, picks up mail. Sorts and files items to be arranged in alphabetical, numerical or chronological order; pulls file materials on request; may be required to box material to be transported to off-site storage or for record destruction. Checks documents and forms or items for the required information(e.g. name, address date, signature, etc.) and for correctness of such information. Sorts, collates and assembles duplicated material in accordance with instructions or procedures, addresses and stuffs envelopes. Performs routine coding and checking functions according to established procedures. Performs other related duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope defined above. Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Requires completion of 4 years of high school, GED or equivalent and 6 months work experience preferably in an office environment.
2. Basic working knowledge of modern office practices/procedures and computerized equipment.
3. Requires good oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Physical ability to lift files and boxes of up to 50 pounds.

Hours of Work: 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. (Monday Friday)
